Boeing’s September Deliveries Show Strength but Lag Behind Airbus
Boeing (NYSE:BA) saw a modest uptick in its stock price following the release of its September 2025 delivery figures. The aerospace giant delivered 55 jets and secured 96 new orders, marking a milestone with its 2,000th 737 MAX delivery. Despite these gains, Boeing continued to trail Airbus, which shipped 73 jets during the same period.
Comparisons to prior months reveal mixed results. While September's numbers fell slightly short of August's 57 deliveries, they represented a significant recovery from September 2024, when a major strike limited output to just 33 jets. The 2025 figures stand as the strongest in nearly a decade, second only to September 2018's 87 deliveries.
Beyond deliveries, Boeing announced a new contract, though details remain undisclosed. The market responded with cautious optimism, nudging shares higher in afternoon trading.
